Public humiliation done right.

Took my little sister toy shopping today. After much browsing, she chose a pack of Hot Wheels cars. She wanted to pay so I gave her the money. As we were waiting in line, some dude waiting behind us asks:

“Buying those for your brother?”

My sister gives him a weird look, “No. They’re mine.”

“You sure you want those, sweetheart? Those are for boys.” He says.

Before I can say anything, my sister yells, like truly yells at the top of her lungs, “MY MOMMY IS A GIRL AND DRIVES A CAR EVERY DAY! GIRLS CAN HAVE CARS TOO!”

The people in front of us in line turn around. The cashier actually stops what she’s doing. Everyone stares at this guy and he just sort of turns red, grabs his kid, and disappears into the Lego aisle.

Ha.

So what you may not have realized is that the casting of Lucy Liu as “Joan” Watson in Elementary was just the first step in a plot by Hollywood to ruin ALL your bromances by inserting Lucy Liu.

Take White Collar, for instance. It’s well known for the slashy potential between the two male leads, even though both are canonically heterosexual. But wait!

IT’S LUCY LIU! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO SHIP NOW?

It’s not just limited to TV, either. How about one of the classic ships, one that practically invented slash?

HA! COCKBLOCKED!

Suits is a show about two dudebro lawyers who are totally gay for each oth-

NOT ANYMORE THEY’RE NOT. GROSS, HETEROSEXUALITY!

Merlin and Arthur are sooo cute…

UGH! VAGINA IN MY SLASH SHIP!

But wait, you say. I’m a multishipper, how can you possibly-

THAT’S RIGHT.

hahahah bless this wonderful post

…ALL BROMANCES IMPROVED BY PRESENCE OF LUCY LIU. LIU IS AMAZEFACE.

HELL YEAH.

So. Last last Saturday, I won tickets to see Bombay Bicycle Club record a session at the XFM studio in Leicester Square. Due to various family stuff, I couldn’t go on that Friday, but I happened to be listening to the radio that evening and won tickets to An Evening with the Manic Street Preachers. Which was today and I went and it was amaaaaaaazing. They played 4 songs, did a bit of an interview and then a little Q&A sesh and then stuck around to sign stuff for a bit. This picture? This is my diary, signed by the Manics. WIN.

Plus the DJ who does these evening with things is ubercute. So added bonus. 😀
