If you only ever see one film with Tom Hardy in, make it Stuart: A Life Backwards. He gives an incredible performance in it as Stuart, a homeless alcoholic, and just watching his awkward, hunched shuffle that passes for walking in this makes it hard to believe that this is the same person who swaggered his way around Queen Elizabeth I in The Virgin Queen.
