Except none of it was science fiction and maybe it would have been easier going if it was. Just got back from the cinema where I saw Red Tails before lunch and Ill Manors after lunch.
Jesus Christ.
Now, I know we all thought Avengers Assemble was the greatest film of the year and in a way it still is. Only if you could somehow slip Red Tails into a slot above that? Yeah. That. Red Tails was incredible. The aerial scenes? Wow. Everything else? Also wow.
Now, Ill Manors was also incredible but it’s only not better than Avengers because JESUS CHRIST THAT WAS UNREMITTINGLY GRIM and yet, that’s life. Ill Manors is basically…what? 30-40 minutes away from me on the train?
Everyone needs to see these two films. Everyone.
