Half a million Britons waited until the last moment to register to vote.
Just under half a million people registered to vote online in the last 24 hours before the U.K. election’s registration deadline. The resulting graph is a perfect illustration of procrastination on a national scale.

Is the UK’s Love Affair With the Internet at Risk?
I’ll keep reblogging this. because people need to know. the British government is censoring its citizens. and I’ve heard/seen almost NOTHING about it!
I suspect it’s one of those things that we hear about in the UK….but the rest of the world doesn’t get it so much.
Hilariously though:
The Pirate Bay gets extra 12m visitors per day after High Court ban
A judge this week ordered British internet providers such as Sky, O2 and TalkTalk to block access to the site.
But the ruling may backfire as millions more internet users are using the site for information about downloading films, music and TV shows following the huge publicity surrounding the case.

Harriet Harman, deputy leader the UK Labour Party, has explained her party’s programme for the British Internet: “implement the Digital Economy Act under a clear timetable including getting on with the notification letters.” “Notification letters?” Why yes, those would be the letters notifying you that you have been accused, without proof, of downloading copyrighted material without permission, and that everyone in your household is now at risk of being disconnected from the Internet, without a trial. If that costs you your job, if that costs your children their education, if that makes it harder to engage with politics, civics, and your community, well, tough shit. Thanks for sticking up for the little guy, Labour. And thanks for passing the Digital Economy Act without Parliamentary debate, over the howls of protests of your own veteran MPs, even after music industry lobbyists were caught rewriting portions of it to suit their corporate masters. (PS: she also wants all the worst stuff in SOPA to be taken on voluntarily by Google).

I’m… not sure what you’re getting at? That Sean Connery is somehow not British?
I’ve seen this a few times around tumblr, but are there people out there who aren’t aware that Scotland is part of Britain?
This kind of baffles me. It’s like saying that Alaska or Hawaii or Florida isn’t part of the United States.
I think I like Scottish accents more than I like British accents.
And I LOVE British accents.
But but but Scottish accents ARE British accents. omg accent paradox.
