Hardcore band Your Demise thought it would be funny to ‘black up’ for Halloween and posted pictures that many fans found “hilarious”.
They have issued an ‘apology’-though I am loathe to call it that as it’s barely even that.
“If anyone has been offended, we are very sorry, it had been completely blown out of all proportion. Said it once and will say it till we can’t anymore. Racism is not welcome and will never be. End of story”
Notice how it’s not “Sorry WE were racist” but rather “sorry YOU were offended.
It’s amazing how willing the fans are to defend their actions. This behaviour is NOT acceptable.
